Revenge Killing of Deputy Sparks Silence from Left

In a horrifying and deliberate act of violence, a man whose son was fatally shot by Cincinnati police just one day prior intentionally ran over and killed a Hamilton County sheriff’s deputy, according to authorities. The attack occurred during graduation celebrations near the University of Cincinnati, turning a day of joy into tragedy. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine said he was “sickened by what appears to be an intentional act of violence.”

Rodney Hinton Jr., 38, now faces charges of aggravated murder after allegedly mowing down Deputy [Name Not Released], who was working an off-duty traffic post. The deputy, a retired veteran of law enforcement, was rushed to UC Medical Center but sadly did not survive. Sheriff Charmaine McGuffey described him as “so well-liked and so well-known,” adding, “What a tremendous loss we have all suffered.”

A Calculated Act of Revenge?

This premeditated killing happened just 24 hours after Hinton’s 18-year-old son, Ryan Hinton, was shot and killed by Cincinnati police during a chase involving a stolen car. Bodycam footage shows officers shouting “He’s got a gun!” before shots are fired. Despite this, Police Chief Teresa Theetge acknowledged there was “no indication that he fired at police before he was shot.”

Predictably, the liberal media wasted no time painting this as another case of police overreach—ignoring the fact that Ryan was allegedly armed and fleeing arrest. Instead of focusing on the high-pressure decisions made by officers in dangerous situations, outlets on the Left are already framing Rodney Hinton’s actions as somehow understandable—a disgraceful narrative that dangerously downplays the murder of a law enforcement officer.

Hamilton County Prosecutor Connie Pillich declared, “If the facts show this act was intentional, as the charge suggests, I will throw the full force of the law at the perpetrator.” But ask yourself: would the same urgency exist if a police officer had taken the life of a civilian in retaliation?

Media Hypocrisy on Full Display

The double standard here is staggering. When officers are involved in shootings, protests erupt, cities burn, and the media runs wall-to-wall coverage. But when a cop is murdered—deliberately—while protecting the public? Silence. No marches. No media outrage. Just excuses for the killer.

WLWT-TV even reported that Hinton’s attorney highlighted that he “has no prior felonies and understands it’s a serious charge.” That’s the soft-pedaling the Left loves—turning a cold-blooded act of revenge into a sympathetic legal footnote. Would that same courtesy be given if this man had a badge? Not a chance.

This is not just a tragedy—it’s a moment of truth. The public deserves to see the full picture, not the filtered, agenda-driven version peddled by biased media outlets. One man’s personal grief does not justify the murder of a peace officer. Justice must be swift. And the silence from the usual voices of outrage? Absolutely telling.
