CNN Interview Backfires as Cartel Insider Offers Unexpected Support for President Trump

Gangster Gives Trump Unexpected Respect in Sinaloa Interview

This week, a CNN reporter hit up Sinaloa—home to one of the world’s most violent cartels. Isobel Yeung went there to see how the feared Sinaloa Cartel impacts civilians and local security. It’s no secret that this cartel has a brutal reputation, shutting down anyone who gets in their way.

President Trump wasn’t having any of it. Recognizing the threat, his administration designated the cartel as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) and Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT). Trump isn’t playing around. He’s even opened the door to using the military in Mexico if necessary.

In the interview, Yeung sat down with a member of the cartel during her investigation. True to form, she tried to provoke a headline-grabbing moment by bringing up Trump’s tough stance.

“According to the Trump Administration, you are a terrorist…You are a member of a terrorist organization. What do you make of that?” Yeung asked.

The gangster kept it real. He admitted the situation “was ugly” but reminded everyone that even tough guys have to eat. Not done yet, Yeung pushed further.

“What is your message to Donald Trump if he’s watching this?” she asked, expecting a vicious response.

Instead of the expected tirade, the cartel member shocked her with unexpected praise. “My respect,” he said. “According to him, he’s looking out for his people.”

This exchange shows just how much Trump has shifted the momentum when it comes to national security. Even the world’s worst characters seem to grudgingly respect him. Trump delivered on his promise of strong leadership—a real game changer compared to the previous years.
