Capitol Crisis Explodes as Leftist Agitator Derails RFK Hearing

Capitol Chaos: Left-Wing Antics Derail a Critical Health Hearing

Capitol Hill turned into a circus again. Left-wing activists made it all about spectacle. Ben Cohen—yes, the Ben & Jerry’s co-founder with a long record of anti-American antics—was booted from a Senate hearing featuring Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Instead of engaging in real policy debate, Cohen chose to shout his radical talking points.

Cohen’s actions aren’t new. His disdain for Israel and total disregard for congressional order have been on display before. Meanwhile, the liberal media jumped at the chance to label him a hero, all while brushing aside a serious discussion on American healthcare.

The drama began even before the hearing started. Cohen showed up at a pro-Palestinian press conference outside the Capitol, backed by Democrat firebrand Rep. Rashida Tlaib. At the event, he blurted out, “Israel is ‘literally starving’ people in Gaza ‘to death’ by preventing them from accessing food, water and medicine.” That’s a classic line straight from the radical left playbook, unchallenged by the usual mainstream outlets.

Inside the hearing—a rare shot for the public to hear RFK Jr. tackle real health issues—a mob of anti-Israel activists stormed the proceedings. Cohen couldn’t resist the spotlight. According to his own X (formerly Twitter) post, he shouted, “You’re killing poor kids in Gaza and paying for it by cutting Medicaid for kids here!” His aim was simple: hijack the hearing, cast American leadership as evil, and disrespect the very principles of orderly debate.

Things quickly fell apart when a Capitol Police officer grabbed Cohen by the arm and escorted him out. NBC News’ Frank Thorp even shared footage of the incident. While some would rightly call out the lawlessness on display, liberal media outlets rushed to lionize Cohen, ignoring the important work RFK Jr. was there to do.

Police reports later noted that seven people, including Cohen, were arrested for resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer under charges for “Crowding, Obstructing, and Incommoding.” As expected, left-wing social media and Cohen’s followers spun the narrative into one of “resistance” against supposed police overreach, conveniently overlooking the blatant disruption of democratic order.

Outside on the Capitol lawn, the incendiary anti-Israel messages continued. Cohen declared, “We will not look away, we will not be silenced, we will do everything we can to get our government to stop being complicit in starving little kids to death,” while introducing Tlaib, who demanded more “aid and food” for Gaza. Liberal outlets like The Epoch Times repeated these talking points without a hint of criticism about the chaos or the flagrant disregard for established procedures.

Even more telling, Capitol Police remained silent on the day’s arrests and upheaval. When conservative protests get slammed, it’s one thing—but when lawlessness from the left targets figures like Kennedy, the hypocrisy is hard to miss. This isn’t a push for true democratic debate; it’s an orchestrated attempt to wreck honest policy discussions.

In the end, what should have been a serious conversation about American health was derailed by a liberal mob and its media allies, leaving RFK Jr. to clean up the mess.
