Hypocrisy on the Fly: Sanders and AOC’s Costly Tour
Far left Democrats Bernie Sanders and AOC are in the spotlight again—not for fighting oligarchy, but for flying high on private jets. They charge around $15,000 per hour for these trips on what they call their “Fight Oligarchy” tour.
The Washington Free Beacon reports that Sanders has spent more than $220,000 flying to events. His main campaign, Friends of Bernie Sanders, shelled out $221,723 just in the first quarter of 2025 for jet charters.
The first payment on the jet came just days before the tour kicked off in February. No wonder they’re begging for money from their supporters.
Earlier this week, Sanders whinged “We will not accept a rigged economy where working people struggle while billionaires become richer,” adding “We have got to create an economy that works for working people, not just Mr. Musk and the billionaire class.”
How can a guy who owns three mansions and rides around on a fancy jet with AOC in tow claim to be fighting for the little guy? It’s a neat piece of hypocrisy.
He even made a pit stop at Coachella last weekend—a festival where many attendees have to take out bank loans just to afford a ticket.
And here’s the kicker: Sanders and AOC love to lecture people on ditching their cars, skipping holidays, and changing their diets to fight climate change. Meanwhile, they’re jetting around in a plane that churns out more carbon in one trip than most Americans do in a year.
Sanders has been riding this high-flying grift for over three decades. It never gets old watching career politicians preach one thing while living another.
