Detroit Shooting Leaves One Woman Dead
A disturbing video shared online appears to show the moments before 57-year-old Faith Williams was shot outside a Detroit liquor store. According to Metro News Detroit, Williams was with her niece near the store in the 15500 block of East Warren Avenue near Chalmers when a 15-year-old boy allegedly opened fire. The shooting happened around 11:15 p.m. Friday. Williams was killed, and her niece was also shot but survived.
Video Shows Suspect Waiting Near Store
Metro News Detroit reported that video from the scene showed the boy lying in wait as Williams and her niece approached the entrance. Williams opened the door, and the boy walked past them. He then turned back and shot Williams in the head before shooting her niece, according to the report. The video was later shared on X.
Police Make Arrest As Random Motive Remains Unconfirmed
Sources told Metro News Detroit the attack was completely random, but police have not confirmed that detail. The boy fled after the shooting, according to the report. Detroit Police arrested him Saturday morning and took him into custody. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released a confirmed motive.

Williams’ loved ones mourned her death on Facebook. “I will miss everything about Faith Williams. Rest peacefully, beautiful soul,” Aiesha Russ wrote. Lakeithia DramaFree Hedgespeth wrote, “This is sad. I’m so sorry this Happened to you, Faith Williams. I’m going to miss all your messages you used to send me.
