Scarborough Responds to Eric Trump’s Social Media Activities

During a recent episode of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe”, hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski demonstrated a clear bias against the Trump family. The duo expressed visible shock and audible exasperation in response to a Memorial Day social media post from Eric Trump. The post quoted another message from the Trump family, captioned, “The family that gave up everything to save America,” with Eric adding, “And we will do it again!”

The panel discussion, which was already examining former President Donald Trump’s Memorial Day message, promptly incorporated Eric’s post into their conversation. Panelist Willie Geist quickly pointed out the backlash Eric received for his post, saying, “And it wasn’t just former President Trump, it was also his son, Eric, getting some well-deserved backlash over his social media post after one user posted a photo of the family with the caption ‘The family who gave up everything to Save America. Thank you!'”

Scarborough struggled to hide his shock, nearly falling out of his chair as he exclaimed, “Oh my God, oh my Lord.” He also chastised Eric for an Instagram post (which has since been removed) that promoted a Memorial Day sale on Trump merchandise. In a typical liberal reaction, he sarcastically summarized it as: “We are honoring our brave men and women this weekend. Please buy our stuff.”

Former President Donald Trump also made waves with his Memorial Day statement on Truth Social, where he lambasted E. Jean Carroll and the judge involved in his civil rape case, calling them “Human Scum.” He expressed dissatisfaction with the judgment against him which totaled $91 million for defamation and sexual battery charges. Despite being cleared of the criminal rape charge, Trump was ordered to pay $83.3 million and posted a $91 million collateral bond pending an appeal of the judgment.

In stark contrast, Scarborough and Brzezinski lauded President Joe Biden’s Memorial Day message as a display of different leadership styles. However, they conveniently ignored Biden’s own controversies related to fallen veterans. Former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki recently had to retract statements in her book denying that Biden checked his watch while the bodies of soldiers killed in Afghanistan were being unloaded from an aircraft. Additionally, Biden has faced criticism for overshadowing a family who lost their daughter in Iraq by focusing on the death of his son Beau.

The “Morning Joe” segment underscored the significant differences in how the two administrations approach Memorial Day and sensitive issues more broadly. The apparent bias of MSNBC’s hosts highlights their lack of objectivity when reporting on these matters.
