Small Businesses Took The Hit

According to Loeffler, the Small Business Administration identified $200 billion in fraudulent Paycheck Protection Program loans. She said the Biden administration tried to hide the total, forgive it, and sweep it under the rug, which is a familiar move for a bureaucracy that prefers clean talking points to messy numbers. Loeffler said the first $22 billion has already been turned over to Treasury for collection and to the Justice Department for prosecution. It is whether the government keeps chasing down the stolen funds, keeps prosecuting the cases, and stops acting like fraud is a clerical issue.
