JK Rowling Responds to David Tennant’s Comments, Coins New Term for Trans Activists

Harry Potter Author JK Rowling Faces Backlash for Advocating Women’s Rights

The Gateway Pundit has been closely reporting on the controversies surrounding Harry Potter author, JK Rowling. She has been under fire for her outspoken support of women’s rights.

Recently, a public argument erupted between “Dr. Who” actor David Tennant and British equalities minister Kemi Badenoch. Tennant, who had just received the “2024 British LGBT Award,” made a pointed remark against those advocating for the protection of women and girls.

Tennant said while accepting the award, “Until we wake up and Kemi Badenoch doesn’t exist anymore…I don’t wish ill of her, I just wish her to shut up. Whilst we do live in this world, I am honored to receive this.”

In response to Tennant’s comments, Badenoch defended her belief in biological science and argued that men claiming to be women should not participate in women’s sports.

“I will not shut up. I will not be silenced by men who prioritise (sic) applause from Stonewall over the safety of women and girls. A rich, lefty, white male celebrity so blinded by ideology he can’t see the optics of attacking the only black woman in government by calling publicly for my existence to end…”

Rowling joined the fray by coining a term for those aggressively pushing transgender ideologies – “Gender Taliban.”

In an interview at the event reported by Deadline, Tennant dismissed his critics as being on the wrong side of history. Rowling countered his comments by highlighting the concerns of women and girls affected by these issues.

Rowling has been a target of outrage from the transgender community and their supporters for expressing her personal views on transgender issues. She publicly supported researcher Maya Forstater, who was dismissed from her job due to comments labeled as “transphobic.” As a result, social justice warriors dubbed Rowling a “TERF” – trans-exclusionary radical feminist.

Rowling once again ruffled feathers when she allegedly misgendered the person behind a Twitter account tied to Luis Morales, also known as Synthia China Blast, who was convicted of murdering a 13-year-old child in a racist gang attack.

The backlash against Rowling escalated to an attempt to dox one of her children. However, it turned out that the targeted individual was not related to Rowling but an innocent mother with young children.
