Congresswoman Crockett: A Day of Outrage and Disorder
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett from Texas has managed to shock everyone. In just one day, she packed more disgrace than most politicians manage in an entire term. Instead of working on meaningful legislation, she’s busy creating chaos.
Tuesday morning, in the halls of the Capitol, things went off the rails. Crockett physically lashed out at conservative reporter Charles Downs, a correspondent for Laura Loomer’s Loomer Unleashed program. Downs had simply asked if she condemned violence linked to “Tesla Takedown” protests – protests directly tied to her own inflammatory remarks just days earlier, when she wished someone would “take down” Elon Musk.
The video of the incident has already been viewed over 1.7 million times on X. In the footage, Crockett storms right up to Downs, striking him and attempting to seize his phone. Her long nails left visible scratches and lacerations on his hand. The U.S. Capitol Police have confirmed that charges have been filed – including assault, battery, and attempted theft. The proof is clear-cut.
In a feeble bid to deflect responsibility, Crockett claimed that Downs “invaded her personal space.” However, video shows a calm and respectful interaction long before she exploded. Downs, showing some much-needed dignity, said he’d drop the charges if Crockett simply apologizes. So far, no apology has come her way.
The day didn’t end there. Just hours before the Capitol spill, Crockett earned bipartisan disgust by mocking Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s paralysis, dismissively calling him “Governor Hot Wheels” during a Human Rights Campaign event. When pressed about it, she tried to pass it off as a jab at his immigration policies – a laughable excuse.
Now, Rep. Randy Weber (R-TX) is ready to introduce a formal censure resolution in the House. He’s not holding back, slamming Crockett’s remarks as “vile” and a disgrace to Texas.
If this behavior came from a Republican, you’d bet CNN would be calling for a full-blown criminal investigation instead of settling for a mere censure. Congress and the American public are watching, and they deserve better than this display of recklessness and disrespect.
