In a recent exclusive interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, President Joe Biden discussed the alarming assassination attempt against former President Trump.
The incident occurred on Saturday when a bullet grazed Trump’s ear during his rally in Pennsylvania. In what can only be described as a shocking security lapse, an armed individual managed to ascend onto a nearby rooftop and aim at the former president during his Butler, Pennsylvania rally.
Despite the close call, President Trump demonstrated resilience by raising his fist and rallying his supporters with cries of ‘Fight! Fight! Fight!’ after the bullet grazed his ear.
During the interview, Holt questioned Biden about his lack of public communication with the Secret Service Director. ‘Is it acceptable that you have still not heard, at least publicly, from the Secret Service Director?’ Lester Holt asked Biden.
Biden responded by saying he had indeed heard from ‘him’. However, this response was met with surprise as the current Secret Service Director, Kimberly Cheatle, is a woman!
Holt quickly corrected Biden’s mistake by asking if he had heard from ‘her’ publicly. The president seemed taken aback when he realized his error. He then attempted to recover by stating that he has held discussions in the Situation Room with various security agencies including the Secret Service and FBI.
