Bank Executive Identified After Times Square Attack
Erin Piacenti, 32, of Chester, New Jersey, has been identified as the woman killed Monday afternoon in a stabbing in Times Square. According to the report, Piacenti worked for Bank of America in New York City as Vice President of Business Selection and Conflicts. She was a 2016 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and a 2021 graduate of Fordham Law School, based on her LinkedIn profile. Social media posts also showed she had recently marked her second wedding anniversary on Aug. 10.
Police Describe An Unprovoked Stabbing
NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said during a press conference that Piacenti was stabbed in the abdomen in an “unprovoked attack.” Police identified the assailant as 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros. Authorities said Cisneros used two kitchen knives during the attack. A 68-year-old man was also stabbed in the stomach and survived, according to the report. Cisneros was later fatally shot by NYPD officers.
