US Army Colonel Exposes FBI Agents Withholding Epstein Files Demands Accountability

FBI’s Fumbled Epstein Files: A No-Nonsense Call for Accountability

Thursday turned into a complete mess over the Epstein files. The FBI’s actions left a lot of folks frustrated.

It all kicked off when Attorney General Pam Bondi said the files would be released soon. On Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime,” she promised a big reveal the next day. You can read more about it here.

But things went sideways fast. A small group of conservative social media influencers was given binders outside the White House. They were smiling for the cameras. However, the binders held almost nothing of value.

Bondi wasn’t having any of it. Later that day, she sent a letter to the new FBI Director Kash Patel, accusing the FBI Field Office in New York of deceiving her. In that letter, she demanded that all Epstein-related materials hit her desk by 8 a.m. EST Friday. Check out the full account here.

Patel quickly shot back on social media. He vowed that under his command, the FBI would take a hard look at its transparency and accountability. Read his reaction here.

Then came the media firestorm. On his show, Jesse Watters reviewed the day’s chaos and hinted that New York officials — from the FBI to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York — might have been playing a long game of cover-up connected to Epstein.

If that’s true, Bondi and Patel have a mountain to climb. Enter retired U.S. Army Col. Kurt Schlichter, a senior Townhall.com columnist. He didn’t mince words. Schlichter proposed this remedy: “I suggest @PamBondi direct that every special agent in charge in the FBI certify in writing that every single Epstein document has been supplied to her,” he wrote.

He wasn’t done. “The certification should go to a selected, senior FBI official outside of Washington DC and New York, so when someone lies, the false statement will have occurred in a venue where a conviction is possible,” Schlichter added. “No certification, you’re fired. Time to stop playing these stupid games.”

Schlichter’s idea is blunt and lawyerly, striking a chord with many users on X.

The whole debacle reeks of chaos. The FBI isn’t new to dramatic raids — they’ve stormed Trump’s locations and taken on his supporters before. Yet, this time the target appears to be their own ranks.

Schlichter’s proposal might be the wake-up call needed to end the runaround. It screams accountability even if the method may not work if there’s a deep-rooted conspiracy.

At the end of the day, Bondi, Patel, and their crew have a serious challenge ahead. Whether they can clean up this mess remains to be seen, but one thing’s clear — the call for transparency has never been louder.
