Trump Takes on the Wall Street Journal Over a Bizarre Epstein Letter
President Donald Trump fired off a fresh announcement Tuesday. The Wall Street Journal has offered to settle the lawsuit Trump filed over a wild report. According to the report, in 2003, Trump sent Jeffrey Epstein a birthday note accompanying a scribbled photo of a naked woman. The Journal claims the photo sported a signature “Donald” on the drawing’s waist, supposedly mimicking pubic hair. None of that sketch ever made it to print.
The Journal did share a transcript of an odd poem that they claim was penned by Trump. It reads exactly like this:
“Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything.
Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.
Jeffrey: Nor will I…
Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: Yes, we do…
Donald: Enigmas never age…
Jeffrey: …it was clear to me the last time I saw you.
Trump: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
Hours after the story broke, Trump slammed the report. He denied its claims and announced his intent to sue the Journal and media giant Rupert Murdoch. Speaking from Air Force One, he said the outlet is already reaching out to settle things. “It’s in the lawyer’s hands. I’ve been treated very unfairly by The Wall Street Journal,” he declared. He added, “they want to settle it.”
Trump’s suit against the Journal says the Epstein story caused him “overwhelming financial and reputational harm.” He’s demanding millions in damages. Soon after the report appeared, he took to Truth Social. In his post, he slammed the letter as “fake” and warned that the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch would face legal action. As he wrote on Truth Social,
“The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued,”
Trump continued, calling out the Journal’s editor, Emma Tucker, and insisting that key insiders like Karoline Leavitt had tried to set the record straight. “Mr. Murdoch stated that he would take care of it but, obviously, did not have the power to do so. The Editor of The Wall Street Journal, Emma Tucker, was told directly by Karoline Leavitt, and by President Trump, that the letter was a FAKE, but Emma Tucker didn’t want to hear that. Instead, they are going with a false, malicious, and defamatory story anyway. President Trump will be suing The Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp, and Mr. Murdoch, shortly.”
He even pointed to his past legal victories over mainstream media outlets like CBS and ABC, calling out deceptive editing and false claims. According to Trump, if there were any shred of truth in the Epstein story, top figures like Comey and Brennan would have exposed it long ago. In his words, “This is yet another example of FAKE NEWS!”
