Ted Cruz Delivers Strong Debate Performance Leaving Opponent Frustrated

Senator Ted Cruz recently put his Democratic opponent, U.S. Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX), in a tough spot during a heated debate. Cruz delivered a sharp critique of Allred’s support for extreme gender ideology in schools.

Cruz kicked things off by pointing out that Allred didn’t mention his own record at all. “It reminded me of Kamala Harris in our debates,” he said, referencing her tendency to dodge questions. “He talks about nice-sounding things but ignores the facts.”

Allred’s Support for Controversial Legislation

The senator highlighted several pieces of legislation that Allred has backed, which promote radical gender policies. “He supports allowing men to compete in women’s sports and voted for the Equality Act,” Cruz stated emphatically. “This law would let boys use girls’ bathrooms and locker rooms—he voted for it!”

Shifting Positions on Women’s Sports

Recently, Allred tried to distance himself from his past support for men competing against women in sports, claiming he now opposes it despite previously supporting the Equality Act. Cruz was quick to counter this claim: “There was a bill aimed at protecting women’s sports—he voted no! The only question was whether biological boys should compete against our daughters.” He added with conviction, “That’s just not fair.” After all, Congressman Allred used to be an NFL linebacker—it doesn’t take a genius to see how unfair that matchup is!

The Transgender Bill of Rights and Military Policies

Cruz also called out Allred’s backing of the so-called “Transgender Bill of Rights,” which would force boys into girls’ sports teams. He pointed out that just two weeks ago, Allred joined 100 other Democrats demanding drag shows on military bases and pushing taxpayer-funded sex changes for soldiers—and even children! This isn’t what Texas stands for; it’s extreme.

A Clash Over Election Integrity

During the debate, tensions flared when Allred accused Cruz of being a threat to democracy because he questioned the results of the 2020 presidential election due to serious allegations of voter fraud that were never fully investigated.

Cruz turned this accusation back around on him: “Let’s talk about threats to democracy,” he said confidently while looking straight at his opponent. He referenced recent voting records regarding election integrity laws like the SAVE Act—a measure requiring proof of citizenship before registering to vote.

Illegal Immigration and Voting Rights

<p“Congressman Allred voted no,” Cruz continued passionately. “Under Kamala Harris and Colin Allred’s open border policies, over eleven million illegal immigrants have entered this country! And yet Congressman Allred votes against protecting our elections from illegal votes—that is truly a threat to democracy!” His words hung heavy in the air as they resonated with many watching.
