We have all seen how Joe Biden's mind is slipping away from him. He constantly forgets where he is or why he is there and even what year it is. He has trouble forming complete sentences and they usually come out sounding like some gibberish language no one but him can understand.
It has come to a point where even those close to Biden are taking notice. Former White House stenographer, Mike McCormick, who worked with Biden from 2011 to 2017, says he's "not the same Joe Biden."
"It is a complete difference from what he was in 2017," said McCormick during a Washington Free Beacon interview. "He’s lost a step and he doesn’t seem to have the same mental acuity as he did four years ago."
"He doesn’t have the energy, he doesn’t have the pace of his speaking," McCormick added. "He’s a different guy."
McCormick recounts his time working with the former vice president in a book he recently released called Joe Biden Unauthorized. The book picks apart Biden's most critical moments, including the time McCormick says he was "humiliated" in 2011 by the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin.
The former stenographer often traveled with Biden while transcribing his speeches, public conversations with foreign leaders, and off-the-record media briefings for official White House records. He said the president had a talent for connecting with the public during his time in office and was known to deviate from the pre-written script while still being able to get his point across.
That is not the Biden we know today. During the 2020 election campaign season, his physical stamina and cognitive health have come into question due to his many public gaffes.
"He’d just make a big joke out of it, and go straight from the hip. And notice, he’s not doing that anymore," McCormick said. "He read that [Democratic National Committee speech] verbatim … it’s not Joe Biden anymore."
Joe Biden and his campaign refuse to acknowledge any problems with his deteriorating state of mind.
