The U.S. Supreme Court just scored a major win for President Trump, allowing ICE to continue its immigration raids in Los Angeles.

Of course, the liberal justices were not on board. Justice Sonia Sotomayor’s dissent is especially striking. It doesn’t read like a judicial opinion; it sounds more like an activist rant.

Instead of sticking to the law, which is supposed to be her job, Sotomayor spills out her personal wishes for how things should be.

NBC News reported:

Supreme Court lifts limits on roving immigration patrols in Los Angeles area

The Supreme Court blocked a federal judge’s ruling that limited federal officers’ ability to conduct immigration stops in Los Angeles. This prompted a strong response from Justice Sonia Sotomayor.

The court’s decision to grant an emergency request from the Trump administration pauses the ruling made by L.A.-based U.S. District Judge Maame Ewusi-Mensah Frimpong.

Attorney General Pam Bondi celebrated the ruling, stating on X that it allows immigration enforcement agents to “continue carrying out roving patrols in California without judicial micromanagement.”

Sotomayor, the first Hispanic to serve on the court, was joined in her dissent by the other two liberal justices.

“We should not have to live in a country where the Government can seize anyone who looks Latino, speaks Spanish, and appears to work a low wage job. Rather than stand idly by while our constitutional freedoms are lost, I dissent,” she stated.

Conservatives on Twitter/X did not hold back in their criticism of her dissent.

Honestly, she’d fit right in as a host on ‘The View’, wouldn’t she?
