Pentagon’s UFO Expert Reveals Shocking Theory on Aliens

Experts have called into question the credibility of the Pentagon’s UFO investigatory office after its head co-authored a paper suggesting unidentified objects could be tools deployed by aliens to conduct research on Earth, according to Politico.

Sean Kirkpatrick, leader of the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), and Harvard professor Avi Loeb wrote in a draft article from March 7 that unidentified aerial phenomena could be “probes” sent from an extraterrestrial craft.

“It’s a fine line because there’s ‘being open to speculative ideas’ like this, but that can be translated into an actual supporting of this possibility, and I think that’s where there needs to be more clarity,” Alejandro Rojas, a board member of the Scientific Coalition for UAP Studies, told the outlet. “It does look like [DoD is] supporting some really wild ideas which thus far are felt to be unsubstantiated.”

The Daily Caller was first to report this. While some recognize Kirkpatrick as a capable and intelligent scientist, they believe his willingness to attach his name to a theory with little evidence undermines AARO’s reputation, per Politico.

Kirkpatrick is a veteran of the Department of Defense, U.S. Space Command, the National Security Council and various intelligence agencies, and was the chief scientist of the Missile and Space Intelligence Center at the Defense Intelligence Agency. In their paper, he and Loeb posited that extraterrestrials may have equipped vehicles with advanced propulsion technology and specialized Artificial Intelligence (AI) to explore Earth from afar.

David Jewitt, an astronomy professor at UCLA, dismissed some of their claims as “highly questionable,” according to Politico. They also discussed logistics regarding objects’ physical limitations and signatures for observers to detect them on Earth.

The authors wrote that “a multitude of tiny devices can be released from a mothership that passes near Earth.” Thus, the debate rages on as to whether these mysterious objects have extraterrestrial origins
