Chaos Erupts as Minneapolis Police Retreat
You wouldn’t believe how heated things got in downtown Minneapolis. Police officers, including Chief Brian O’Hara, found themselves in a whirlwind of chaos. Violent anti-ICE riots reached a boiling point last Friday night, forcing officers to hit the road and leave the scene.
What sparked this upheaval? The fatal shooting of Renee Nicole Good, an anti-ICE activist who tried to run over an agent with her car. The city’s been in turmoil ever since.
Independent journalist Nick Sortor caught the mayhem on camera. His footage shows cops rushing away as a sea of protesters surged forward, making demands. It’s shocking stuff.
The clip even catches someone shouting at Chief O’Hara, asking why he’s letting this happen. But the chief and his officers barely had a moment to look back as they fled.
Sorter didn’t hear a peep from the police, lost in the rush of getting out.
In a tense moment, Sorter tweeted:
MINNEAPOLIS POLICE SURRENDER TO ANTI-ICE RIOTERS AFTER OFFICERS ATTACKED. They have now RUN AWAY and ABANDONED the area which has been TAKEN OVER by leftist anarchists. IT’S TIME FOR THE INSURRECTION ACT, PRESIDENT TRUMP! LOCAL POLICE HAVE CEDED CONTROL TO ANARCHISTS
Protesters didn’t stop there. They stormed hotels, targeting places where they believed ICE agents were staying. Police? Nowhere in sight.
Jack Posobiec, another on-the-ground reporter, posted on X: “Antifa have breached the doors of this hotel in Minneapolis and have begun destroying the lobby.”
Minneapolis residents are seeing their city torn apart. It’s a mess nobody should have to endure.
