Maxine Waters addresses Democratic concerns about Elon Musk and DOGE

Maxine Waters and the D.C. Panic Over DOGE

Maxine Waters (D-CA) never held back. She dropped a bomb during a House Financial Services Committee hearing. And boy, did it hit hard.

Elon Musk just announced his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). His goal? To investigate federal bureaucrats raking in tens of millions of dollars when they earn just a few hundred thousand a year. He even said, “We do find it sort of rather odd that there are quite a few people in the bureaucracy who have essentially a salary of a few hundred thousand dollars but somehow manage to accrue tens of millions of dollars in net worth while they are in that position.”

You don’t say. And now, DOGE has its hands on the receipts from federal departments like USAID and the Department of Treasury. The deep state is sweating. They’ve been living off taxpayer money, and now the clock is ticking.

During her grilling of Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, Waters turned up the heat. She pushed back hard, demanding to know if Musk could audit the Fed. Powell dodged her question. But Waters wasn’t done. In a moment of raw honesty, she let her fear slip into the mic:

“Well, you know what happened at Treasury, and you know what happened over at the CFPB. People of this country are being violated because all of our privacy has been taken up by Elon Musk and Trump. And we don’t know what they have on us.

That’s the real kicker. It wasn’t just about bureaucratic edge cases. It was about fear – the kind that screams, “They know what they’ve done.”

The swamp is up in arms, and for good reason. Even if the idea of auditing the Federal Reserve sounds like a pipe dream for some, the call for accountability is loud and clear.

One thing is certain: DOGE is coming in hot, and those in D.C. better brace themselves before the clock runs out on their secret deals.
