Vance Fires Back at Leftist Hate Over Deportation Story
Vice-President JD Vance is on a mission. Leftists try to smear him and Team Trump, but Vance isn’t having any of it. Today he fired back against a nasty story aiming to spoil the Trump Administration’s crackdown on violent illegal aliens.
The Atlantic, a dishonest far-left publication, ran a sob story Monday night. They claimed the Administration “mistakenly” sent a “peaceful” Maryland father to El Salvador’s infamous mega-prison CECOT. The piece went on to say the man was falsely labeled as a member of MS-13 and that it was too late to fix the mistake.
Former Obama speechwriter and podcast host Jon Favreau saw his moment to dunk on the Trump Administration. He mockingly asked Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Elon Musk for their comments:
“Any comment on this, Marco Rubio? How about you, JD Vance? Elon Musk?” Favreau wrote. “You just admitted to accidentally sending an innocent father from Maryland to a torture dungeon in El Salvador. And you refuse to do anything about it.”
Vance didn’t hold back. He pointed out what Favreau conveniently left out: the man was actually an MS-13 gang member. Vance also took a swipe at the Obama crony, saying he cares more about violent illegal aliens than the citizens they hurt.
“My comment is that according to the court document you apparently didn’t read, he was a convicted MS-13 gang member with no legal right to be here,” Vance fired back. “My further comment is that it’s gross to get fired up about gang members getting deported while ignoring citizens they victimize.”
Not to be outdone, Kyle Cheney—a liberal legal affairs reporter for Politico—tried to score points. Cheney claimed Vance was wrong for calling the deported man “convicted.”
“Vance here, mocking Jon Favreau for not reading the court filing, says the deported man was a ‘convicted’ gang member,” he said. “The court filing does not say that. It says he was denied bond in 2019 over an informant’s claim he was in MS-13. That’s not a conviction.”
Vance, a man with a law degree, didn’t miss a beat. He fired back by highlighting three clear facts: the man was an illegal alien, an immigration judge found him to be an MS-13 gang member, and he isn’t entitled to a full jury trial because he’s not a citizen.
Kyle Cheney, a “legal affairs reporter,” is apparently unable or unwilling to look at the facts here. In 2019, an Immigration Judge (under the first Trump administration) determined that the deported man was, in fact, a member of the MS-13 gang. He also apparently had multiple traffic violations for which he failed to appear in court. A real winner.
It is telling that the entire American media is going to run a propaganda operation today making you think an innocent “father of 3” was apprehended by a gulag. Here are the relevant facts:
1) The man is an illegal immigrant with no right to be in our country.
2) An immigration judge determined he was a member of the MS-13 gang.
3) Because he is not a citizen, he does not get a full jury trial by peers. In other words, he received whatever “due process” he was entitled to.
The message is clear. Vance stands strong, cutting through the leftist spin and calling out the media for their bias. It’s a no-nonsense take that leaves little room for doubt.
