Sen. Dave McCormick on Fox News Sunday

F-15 Rescue Shows America’s Reach

McCormick Calls It A Miracle

Sen. Dave McCormick said the rescue of the downed F-15 airman in Iran was “an Easter miracle,” and he credited the White House, Pentagon, military leaders, and intelligence staff for bringing the airman home. He said the operation relied on misdirection, a large support force, and quick work from people who are usually happiest when nobody notices them. That is how these missions should work: quiet, fast, and effective, not like a government press release trying to sound useful.

What The Rescue Took

McCormick also said the airman climbed about 7,000 feet while injured, which made the search far harder than expected. According to McCormick, the planners did not expect him to reach that height, and the rescue became possible only after the teams found his location. The lesson is plain enough. When the state spends years bragging about process, the actual win still comes from skill, judgment, and a little luck. Bureaucracy loves forms; rescues prefer competence.

Iran And The Bigger Message

McCormick used the interview to argue that Iran still poses a threat and that its missile and air defense programs need to be checked. He said five presidents have agreed Iran should never get a nuclear weapon, and he credited President Trump with taking action to protect the United States and its allies. Fox News Sunday posted the clip on X, because every serious policy debate now needs a social media receipt.
