Teen in Denver-area school shooting had neo-Nazi posts, experts say
The teenager suspected in a shooting last week at a suburban Denver high school seems to have been fixated on past mass shootings and posted neo-Nazi views online, experts say.
The suspect, 16-year-old Desmond Holly, was active on an online forum where users watch videos of killings and violence. That content was mixed with white supremacist and antisemitic posts, the Anti-Defamation Leagueâs Center on Extremism said in a report, acquired by the Associated Press.
Holly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after Wednesdayâs attack at Evergreen High School in Jefferson County. Investigators say itâs still unclear how he picked his victims.
The county is also where the 1999 Columbine High School massacre happened. Fourteen people were killed in that attack, the wire service reports.
