The Stakes in Virginia’s Gubernatorial Election
The upcoming gubernatorial election in Virginia is a big deal for voters. It’s a clear choice between two radically different visions for the future. On one side, we have the Republican party, championing parental rights, top-notch education, and economic growth. On the other side, there’s the Democrat ticket led by Abigail Spanberger and her running mate Ghazala Hashmi, threatening to drag Virginia back into the divisive politics of the past. Voters need to be aware of the extreme ideology this duo represents.
Spanberger’s choice of State Senator Ghazala Hashmi is a bold move that signals a full embrace of the Democratic party’s most extreme elements. Hashmi, as highlighted by the Washington Free Beacon, shows a shocking lack of respect for the very citizens she aims to serve. After the 2021 election, she participated in an interview where she shockingly agreed with the ugly claim that Virginians are racists.
In that interview, Professor Muqtedar Khan claimed that Governor Glenn Youngkin’s victory meant “the majority of voters in Virginia are racist, or at least susceptible to racist dog whistles.” He argued that “the Republicans are winning because the electorate responds to racist dog whistles.” Instead of standing up for her constituents, Hashmi validated this slanderous attack, callously agreeing that the racism of the Virginia electorate is “very disturbing.”
Hashmi went further, showing her disdain for Virginians by saying, “What’s really disturbing to [minority groups in Virginia] is this idea that racism is so latent and so much a part of the society that people could respond to these kinds of flagrant dog whistles that we heard throughout the Youngkin campaign.” This is the real voice of today’s Democratic party—a party that believes anyone rejecting their radical agenda must be driven by hatred, not by a desire for sensible governance.
This toxic worldview shapes Hashmi’s dangerous policy decisions. She has actively opposed parental rights, notably by helping to kill a crucial bill that aimed to ensure transparency in schools. This bill would have empowered parents by requiring schools to inform them if their child identified as transgender while at school. Hashmi chose to keep parents in the dark, siding with radical gender ideologues over concerned families.
This one is DAMNING.
A professor blatantly suggests that "the majority of voters in Virginia are racist."

If the Spanberger-Hashmi ticket wins, it would unleash a flood of woke, divisive policies. Virginians can brace for relentless DEI mandates, radical transgender policies, and critical race theory seeping into every corner of state government and public education. These Democrats haven’t changed since their previous defeats; they’ve just doubled down on their toxic, woke approach to governance that puts ideology above the well-being of citizens.
"I'm concerned about this 'subset of parents' who think that they can legislate what children are reading."
She's particularly concerned that parents don't want their kids reading books from "LGBTQ authors."

This stance directly opposes the America First policies promoted by President Donald J. Trump, which celebrated American values, strengthened the economy, and brought common sense back to the public square. While the liberal media continues to shield these radical candidates, ignoring their extremist records, Virginians must see this election for what it truly is: a referendum on sanity itself. The choice is between a future of prosperity and common sense or a slide back into divisive identity politics.
