Century Old WW2 Vet Celebrates His Birthday With A Breathtaking View

WWII veteran Tom Rice celebrated his 100th birthday in legendary style. Rice wanted to celebrate this major milestone birthday doing something a little different. For him, that meant parachuting out of an airplane.
Rice was part of the 101st Airborne’s parachute infantry that had parachuted into Normandy, France, on D-Day in June 1941.
He fought in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium and helped capture Hitler’s Eagle’s Nest in Germany.
After the war he became an educator, teaching in schools for over 40 years.

Rice was joined by former U.S. Navy SEAL team members as he stepped out of a vintage plane over the beaches of Coronado in symbolism of the jump he’d made 77 years ago in Normandy.
Rice was met by scores of family, friends, community and military, who lined the beach to show their respect and support.
When asked about the secret to longevity, he simply said, keep moving.”
