Bill Murray Denounces Bob Woodward Book Defends Belushi Legacy and Exposes Nixon Framing VIDEO

Bill Murray Blows the Whistle on Inaccurate Reporting

Actor and comedian Bill Murray made waves on the Joe Rogan podcast this weekend. His conversation was all over the place, but one moment is sparking chatter on social media.

Murray talked about Bob Woodward’s book “Wired,” which recounts the life and death of his buddy and SNL alum John Belushi. He read about five pages and got heated, saying he wanted to set it on fire because it was full of inaccuracies.

“When I read ‘Wired’—the book written by, what’s his name, Woodward—about Belushi, I read like five pages, and I went, ‘Oh my God. They framed Nixon,’” Murray said. He added, “If this is what he writes about my friend that I’ve known for half of my adult life—which is completely inaccurate—talking to the people of the outer circle getting the story, what the hell could they have done to Nixon?”

Murray wasn’t kidding around. He expressed real anger over what he saw as sloppy journalism. “I acknowledge I only read five pages, but the five pages I read made me want to set fire to the whole thing,” he said. He felt that if Woodward could mess up Belushi’s story, then Nixon’s story likely got messed up too.

The clip of his commentary is a real gem. It shines a spotlight on media bias and sloppy reporting. Murray’s words remind us to question what we read and keep our eyes open for the truth.

Watch the clip below, this is great.
