Photo by Jacek Boczarski/Anadolu via Getty Images Man Allegedly Destroys Charlie Kirk Memorial, Swiftly Faces Backlash Someone allegedly smashed a memorial for Charlie Kirk. People saw it happen. Videos and photos spread fast. Let's be clear. Destroying a memorial is vandalism. It's not a debate. It's not protest. It's destruction. There are two parts to this story. One is the act itself. The other is the response. Both matter. Neighbors and passersby were angry. So were conservatives who see this as an attack on free expression. This wasn't about policy or argument. Teen in Denver-area school shooting had neo-Nazi posts, experts say The teenager suspected in a shooting last week at a suburban Denver high school seems to have been fixated on past mass shootings and posted neo-Nazi views online, experts say. The suspect, 16-year-old Desmond Holly, was active on an online forum where users watch videos of killings and violence. That content was mixed with white supremacist and antisemitic posts, the Anti-Defamation League’s Center on Extremism said in a report, acquired by the Associated Press. Holly died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound after Wednesday’s attack at Evergreen High School in Jefferson County. Investigators say it’s still unclear how he picked his victims. The county is also where the 1999 Columbine High School massacre happened. Fourteen people were killed in that attack, the wire service reports.
