Polls from the last two months have shown that voters have been joyed over “Sleepy” Joe’s performance after having been in office for the last two months. But according to THREE polls just released that is not the case anymore, and that Americans believe that Biden is moving in the wrong direction on border control and immigration issues.
The president’s approval is well below 50% on illegal immigration and that Americans disapprove of how the Biden Administration is handling the MASSIVE child migrant crisis on the United States-Mexico border. These issues have stemmed from the latest policy changes concerning how Border Patrol operates.
“According to a new Morning Consult/Politico poll, 49 percent of voters disapprove of Biden’s handling of immigration issues, up 8 percentage points since mid-March, while 40 percent approve, down 6 points over the same time period,” the outlet reported Wednesday.
This has been pointed out by Morning Consult that the change is coming in large part from the left. Even the Democrats have become sick with how the Biden Administration has handled the crisis.
“The rapid movement came from across the political spectrum, with the share of Democrats who disapprove of his handling of immigration increasing 11 points (to 20 percent), and the share of Republicans who said the same up 7 points (to 84 percent), since Biden took office,” Morning Consult said.
Biden somehow performed even worse in a National Public Radio poll released also this week with only 34% of approval on his handling of immigration by Americans.
“[J]ust 34% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of immigration, while 53% disapprove. A majority of independents and even a quarter of Democrats disapprove of the job he’s doing on the issue,” NPR reported.
Even an ABC News poll couldn’t bring Biden’s approval up. The network opened with the statement that Biden “is facing some early tests in his first two months in office, finding himself underwater for his handling of gun violence after two mass shootings in a week and the surge of migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border, which has brought at least 18,000 unaccompanied children into U.S. custody.”
But showed that 57% of Americans still disapprove.
“An equal 57% of Americans disapprove of his approach on both issues, while just over 4 in 10 Americans approve,” ABC News reported.
Late last week, Biden placed Vice President Kamala Harris in charge of overseeing the situation at the border. There has been no announcement of any press conferences on the subject and her spokesperson has denied that Harris had any plans to visit any of the detention facilities.
